LIVING WAGE CERTIFIED

"We are a family-owned and operated business with a wholehearted devotion to our customers and the craft."

Asheville Brewers Supply opened on April Fool's Day, 1994, and we have spent the last 27-odd years learning more and more about brewing, winemaking, and distilling, and about how to show folks how it's done. We proudly offer the area's largest and most extensive supply of quality ingredients and equipment for the fermenting enthusiast.

So who are we really? Well, ABS was founded by Andy Dahm, a pioneer of craft beer in Asheville. He still works in the industry running French Broad Brewery in Historic Biltmore Village (you should definitely try their Kolsch and Wee Heavier!). On January 1st, 2015, Andy sold the biz to shop manager, Tedd Clevenger. On most days, you'll find Tedd slinging grain and talking fermenting.

Currently also on staff is Mr. Tom Athos, a veteran from the Days of Dahm, a lover of orchids, and owner of chihuahuas. You can ask him about sake production; he makes a darn good one!

Mr. Jim Cope graces us with his presence on most Saturdays, whereas he spends the rest of his week at his real job at White Labs Yeast.

Finally, the newest edition to the team is Mr. Michael Malek. A mean banjo player and fly fisherman, he originally hails from Wisconsin. He is a lover of lagers and previously worked at American Brewmasters in Raleigh.

So come by, and let's get to know each other. Prost!
